The beast who was half wolf, half fox did not howl like a regular wolf, nor did he growl like a regular fox. Instead he sang the song of the future, only he sang it backwards, emitting a strange but beautiful noise, likened by some to the sound a flower makes in a sunshower, and others to the rhythm of waves against a great whale. We do not know how it is that he came to have such power, only that the moment he stops singing, it will be the future.
